How easily you can turn a digital projector into a Swiss Army knife of cool Halloween tricks.

Why would you want to do this? Because, obviously, it’s fun! You can live another year without incorporating a digital projector into your Halloween preparations, sure, but if you have one on hand, can borrow one from work, or you’re just looking for an excuse to buy one, then there’s no time like the present to ensure you’ve got the coolest Halloween display around.

What You’ll Need

While the full list of materials depends on how you opt to deploy your projector setup, there are some basic materials you absolutely need and then a list of materials for each setup type. Let’s talk about the basic materials here and then, in each appropriate section, we’ll highlight the necessary and optional extras for that configuration.

The three core components of any Halloween projector setup are a proper projector, good source material, and something to play the source material from. Let’s look at each category before we move on to showcasing what you can do with your projector.

Tips to Improve Image Quality on your Home Theatre Projector Screen

There are several tweaks that you can make to improve the image quality of your projector. Keep in mind that if you are trying to maximize output using a cheap projector, there are not going to be many settings that you can adjust, so you will not have that many options.

Improve Picture Contrast, Blackness, And Brightness

When we are talking about black on a projector, we are talking about the lack of light. When we are talking about brightness, we are talking about maximum light output. The first step is to figure out what type of lighting you’re going to have in the room.

If you’re going to use the projector in a completely dark room, then you want to adjust the contrast, blackness, and brightness in that atmosphere. If you are going to have ambient light, then make adjustments in that setting.

These calibrations should be done in cinema or movie mode. You want to find a scene that has plenty of black, such as a space backdrop in a Star Trek or Star Wars movie. You want to adjust the brightness dial until the overall image is bright, but the black parts of the image are convincing. In a space backdrop, the darkness of space should be black, but you should still be able to make out the individual stars.

When calibrating the contrast slider, you may want to use a scene that has a sky full of white clouds. You will adjust the contrast slider to the point where the white clouds retain their brilliance, but their detail is seen.

Tips on how to choose a better Surround Sound System

To help you on your way to a better audio experience, we’re going to discuss surround sound. This is one popular setup that can make listeners feel as though they’re in the middle of the action. There’s nothing like it to sweep you away and envelop you in another world.

Surround sound works through the use of multiple speakers, each of which contributes a different audio channel (or component of the original recording). The system allows listeners to hear the full gamut of sound provided by, say, a speeding car. First, you hear the car approaching, then there’s the sound of it humming beside you and finally the faint hum of it in the distance as it zooms past you. This is why some say full surround sound for a movielike experience demands at least five speakers: front-center, left-front, right-front, left-rear and right-rear. Film action and dialogue are separated among the speakers for realism, and background noise comes out of the back speakers.

Knowing this can help you understand some figures often used in surround sound jargon. For instance, 5.1 refers to five speakers (meant for the positions we just described) plus one subwoofer, designated by the .1. Subwoofers play very low-frequency sounds. Other common surround sound systems include 6.1 and 7.1, which include additional rear speakers. Regular stereo sound is referred to as 2.0, encompassing two speakers and no subwoofer.

How to fix when projector won’t connect to wifi

If your projector won’t connect to the internet, here are a couple of troubleshooting tips to help you resolve this issue.

1. Projector Can Connect to the Only Device

a. The Wireless projector can connect to only one device at a time. So, if your Laptop is connected to the internet via the wireless network, your projector won’t able to able to establish a connection with the Laptop.

b. To establish a connection with your laptop when the laptop is connected to a Wireless network, you need to use the physical HDMI cable connection to display the output.

2. Install Wireless Projection Software

a. Manufacturer’s like Epson offers proprietary projection software for their Wireless projector to help you set up wireless projection.

b. In case you are having difficulty setting up wireless projection on your projector, do the following.

c. Epson users need to download EasyMP Network Projection software. If you use any other projector, check if the manufacturer offers any similar software.

d. After installing the software, launch it.

e. Inside, you should find all the functionalities to send display content to any networked Epson EasyMP projectors from any IP Network.

3. Change the Router Encryption

a. Another reason why your wireless projector won’t connect to WiFi can be due to incorrect router encryption settings. Try to access your router encryption setting and change it to WPA2.

b. Launch any web browser on your computer.

c. Enter the home address for your router and press enter. The home address looks something like this:
192.168.1.1

d. In the login page, you need to enter the username and password for the router. Check the user manual in case you haven’t changed the log in details manually.

e. Go to the Wireless Settings tab.

f. Click on “Basic Security Settings / Security Settings“.
